Strategic Advisor: Pete Gladstein
Pete Gladstein has more than 30 years of experience in high-technology companies. Most recently Pete was Vice President of Customer Support and Services for Blue Pumpkin Software where he developed the organization and infrastructure into a multi-million dollar P/L. Prior to joining Blue Pumpkin, Pete was Senior Director for Support and Service for the Americas division of Apple Computer where he was responsible for $160M P/L. Previously, Pete was Director of World Wide Product Support for Tandem Computers. At Tandem, Pete spent 12 years in senior management positions within Customer Support. Prior to Tandem, Pete was with Honeywell Information Systems for 15 years. Pete has a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Finance from Bowling Green State University.
Strategic Advisor: Atam Lalchandani
After receiving an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Atam Lalchandani migrated to the USA to pursue and complete his graduate degrees in Operations Research at Cornell University. He then spent the first 10 years of his professional career in application of O.R. techniques to a variety of industrial and government problems. The next 15 years of his professional career was focused on operating roles in the high technology industry (predominantly semiconductors, computer systems and software); the roles gradually increased in scope from strategic planner to chief financial/administrative officer and finally as CEO of a venture backed Software Company; representative companies are National Semiconductor and Oracle. During the last 8 years, Atam has been working part-time as an advisor, board member and a general business mentor to a number of early stage information technology companies (predominantly internet infrastructure/services, data networking and software); representative companies are Juniper Networks, AtHome Corp., Cerent & Equinix. He has been an angel investor and worked with a number of Silicon Valley Tier 1 VC firms during these engagements.
Strategic Advisor: Gregory F. McHugh
Greg has over 25 years experience in operations management, technology, and professional services. After receiving an MSEE degree from Stanford, Greg spent seven years in telecommunications management. From there he entered IT management in soft goods manufacturing and international banking. Greg then spent the rest of his career in high tech and has held positions such as CTO, VP of Operations and CIO for companies such as National Semiconductor, Analog Devices, Cadence Design Systems, as well as startups – InServ and Equinix. During this time, he also was a Principal at the international management consulting firm Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM). While there, Greg consulted in supply-chain management and product development, and helped build the customer service and support practice. Most recently he was COO for Cheskin – a small market research and marketing consulting firm located in Silicon Valley with both high tech and consumer goods practices.
Strategic Advisor: Brett Morrison
Brett Morrison founded the digital imaging company ememories.com, which was sold to PhotoWorks, one of the largest photo processing companies in the U.S.. Prior to that success, Mr. Morrison held executive positions with several high-profile software companies. As an early employee at Scopus Technology (now part of Siebel Systems), Mr. Morrison was instrumental in taking it through a successful IPO. Throughout his technology career, Mr. Morrison invented and developed complex software systems for Fortune 500 businesses around the world.
Strategic Advisor: Robert Preger
Robert Preger's career spans over 25 years in the Software Industry. After graduating with a BSEE from Carnegie Tech in 1962, Bob held a number of positions in the formative years of the Software Industry and eventually became part of the original management team at Oracle in 1980. Bob retired from a sales and marketing position shortly after Oracle's successful IPO in 1986. As an independent investor, he has been instrumental in the development of several small companies in Northern California.
Strategic Advisor: Tony Revell
Tony graduated from University of Durham in Newcastle, England in 1963 with a BSc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering where he remained in academic life for some time researching the dynamic behaviour of mechanical systems and prosthesis.
After that time, Tony spent over 30 years in the Food Industry with an executive focus on manufacturing. This developed into lead roles at a Director level for strategic and operational management of the business with primary responsibilities for the efficient use of all manufacturing and product assets. To this end he led the introduction of an innovative management control system which integrated the enterprise's Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales Teams. Much of that time was spent in many different countries around the world giving Tony a very varied international management experience.
The later 10 years were spent in senior positions within Nestlé and during that time Tony took a lead role in introducing enterprise business software from SAP into Nestle businesses in both the UK and USA. Tony was most recently Director Adjoin, at Nestle SA headquarters where he was deputy head of the Strategic Business Group, which is responsible for the strategic development of Nestlé's world wide confectionery and ice cream business with sales in excess of $8 Billion serviced by over 150 factories.
